Brief info

She has been teaching and choreographing in the Ohio area for over 25 years. Julie’s first choreography honor was for her own high school musical “Godspell” in which she also performed and discovered her passion for working in the arts. She trained in Durham, New Hampshire; Chicago, IL; London, England; Philadelphia, PA and Columbus, OH. Her training includes teachers from the Boston Ballet, University of New Hampshire, Gus Giordano Dance, Northwestern University, Hubbard Street Dance, Alvin Ailey Dance, Philadanco, and Urdang Ballet. She performed with dance companies of Leja, Rage, Philadelphia Civic Ballet, Philadanco II, Jazz Met and BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio along with multiple area performances. Julie has taught at BalletMet, Columbus Youth Ballet, Dance Extension, Universal Gymnasts, Inc. and Patty Pille School of Dance. Before moving to Cincinnati in 2010, Julie owned Inspiration Dance Academy.

Her choreography has won awards at numerous dance competitions, been seen in numerous high school musicals, competitive gymnastic floor routines, show choirs, video projects, tv commercials, variety shows and dance recital pieces. Her desire is to inspire students to discover their potential through dance.

Julie’s also passionate about being a mom to her four kids and spending time with her husband, Carl, when she is not teaching and working.
